We Need Your Help
WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP
ANNIE (Princess Anastasia Sylvie)
Less than a month ago, Annie swallowed something she shouldn't have. Mom (me) was beside herself because she is so careful not to have bad things around. We still don't know what she ate, but the Vet said it was long (for a cat), thin, and fabric looking. $4000 later, she is home, happy, and healthy. These pics are of her at the Vet. My story is below.

ME
Fine print.
This is not a fundraiser. I am not a legally registered charity. I am selling fun things to help my baby.
Author's Preface.
I am not a vulnerable person, but tough times make you do tough things. I was laid-off almost two-years ago. Even better, I was illegally laid-off (oh boy what a story that is). Eight+ lawyers told me I had a strong case but wouldn't take it because of who the employer was. Since then, I have been freelancing (writing, design, marketing, website building, you name it). I take any job I can find. It's been hard and tiring, but I've been able to keep us afloat. And I cherish the people who have sent work my way.
Chapter 1. The Sad Song.
However, being underemployed for this long has meant I've had to put too much on credit cards ... things like groceries, gas, car/home repairs, medical stuff, and cat food, nothing unessential, but it has added up over time. I also used a lot of my savings on health insurance because I needed to have a surgery last year. Don't worry, I gave up the luxury of health insurance after. All of that, plus her $4000 vet bill and no new contract or job in site, I am scared.
Not to make this a long sad story, we haven't been in the best financial situation the last few years. After my mom died, money flew out the window for end-of-life costs, lawyers, (my mom didn't have life insurance.) etc. I was finally getting back on track when I was laid-off.
As you might know, the job market is really bad. I am talented, creative, smart, and VERY hard-working. While, I am asking for donations, if you have a job at your company, have a network that can help, or if you own your own business and need marketing or creative help—hello!!!! That's what I need most—a job—but don't get me wrong, we'd love a donation. We are working on being vulnerable.
When I am employed, I donate to a lot of causes, so I am hoping maybe this might reach similar hearts and minds. In fact, this event has inspired me to donate to many of the sites I looked at, but weren't a fit for Annie's case. Someday, I hope to create an organization that helps people and their pets in times of crisis.
If you are asking, is this site safe, it's not gofundme!? Yes, this site is very safe. This platform uses strict security measures. I tried to do Waggle (and other fundraising site for pet emergencies) but they pay the vet, and since the Vet was already paid via CC because it was an emergency, it was a no go. So, I am doing this on my professional site. And hey, you can see what I do and that I am good at it!
As I stated, this is is not a fundraiser. Want me to do a funny drawing of your pet? Want me to write you a short story where you are the main character? Want me to compose a terrible song for you? (No AI used for any of that.) To be honest, not sure how that will work yet, but I'll figure it out! I also might add some vintage things (that are easy to ship) for sale here soon.
Anyway, if you read this whole thing—thank you! If you donate—thank you! If you share—thank you! If you don't do anything, I understand. Times are tough right now. Please be kind to yourself and remember to drink plenty of water.

Thank You
